Holographic VMware Cell Phones - What Are They?

What does it take to bring holographic cell phones to consumers? In years to come we shall perhaps have holographic cell phones and we're possibly only a few of technology-decades away, which in other words would take about 5 years or less.

Holographic Video Conference Bricks

It is often amazing the imagination of mankind and the innovative spirit that embodies the species. We learn a lot about future technologies from science fiction, as an author thinks of some great new innovation that may be in the future and then his readers and their off spring later create it. It is almost as if we conceive of something in our minds, we can make it so. Do you remember Star Wars where they had the holographic video communication devices?

It was similar to a cell phone only it worked in a different way and put forth a holographic image of whomever you were talking too. Did you know all this technology currently exists, although it is rather expensive in its prototype form. Spectral imaging has been perfected by IBM and a couple of communication companies' research laboratories have created a small brick-like prototype that works with a little projector and has a cell phone on the top.

Why haven't they brought this to market, surely someone will want it, heck I'd like to have one. Unfortunately, one unit alone is no good, you actually need two to make it work. In other words the person on the other side needs the same device kind of like fax machines. Imagine being one of the first people of fax machines but you cannot send a fax if no one on the other side has a fax machine to get whatever you are faxing.

Indeed this happened when IBM came out with the video phone at the world fair. Everyone thought it was the coolest invention in the world and could not believe that IBM had created it, as prior to that it was merely something that was in a science fiction novel. Turns out it never came to be, due to the cost but it was interesting, and the first system was bought by the Playboy mansion so they can use them around the house as an intercom system.

Sounds kind of cool if you think about it, and bunch of babes running around in their underwear or less talking to each other on videophones. Probably every guy in the world wanted to go there and test it with them. So what is it going to take to get holographic cell phones to market?

Well first they have to reduce the size of the technology, as no one wants to carry around anything like a brick. The first cell phones if you'll recall were a little bags and briefcases. But things really took off when this technology was miniaturized and today, everyone has one. Yes in the future we will probably will have holographic cell phones and we're probably only a couple of tech-generations away, which means about five years or less. Please consider all this.
